Calgary – a Holiday Worth Remembering

The city was named after a bay in Scotland which is known as Calgary bay. The Canadian city is the largest one in the province of Alberta. The city has a temperature of 20 degree Celsius in summer which goes down to -8 degree Celsius in the winter season.

Calgary can be accessed from different parts of the Canada. You can use the Trans Canada highway to get to Calgary. You can also fly to the city form number of cities like Halifax, Hamilton, Montreal, Ottawa, Regina, St. John’s, Thunder Bay, Toronto, Vancouver, Victoria and Whitehorse. You can also fly from different us cities like Dallas, Denver LA and Las Vegas and many more.  London and Manchester also has direct flights to the city. You can use cabs or transit to get to the Calgary Hotels which are scattered in almost all parts of the city.

I know you have heard a lot about Calgary stampede, but you cannot discuss about Calgary without bringing the stampede on. Considered as the most beautiful outdoor show, the stampede has people dressed up in all western cowboy attires and having fun in the streets of western Canada.

If you are a history lover, visit the Glenbow Museum. It is the largest western Canadian museum. And the fun fact is that the exhibits of the museum change twice a year. So if you have visited it 1 year back, you can always visit it and observe new collections. Do not miss out on the Calgary zoo which has more than a 1000 animals and is a heaven for nature lovers.
