This $47-million park that opened in June, 2003 is a glorious array of over 3000 exotic animals and 500 plant species. Jungle island emerged and replaced the Parrot Jungle and Gardens of South Florida that reigned from 1936. With over 200 parrots at the Manu Encounter, which is the jungle’s centerpiece, guests are entertained by the clever antics of macaws, cockatoos, etc. Moreover, the animal stage shows, jungle tails, petting farm and the later addition water park featuring a 168-foot Hippo Slide, with an exhilarating 40-degree drop makes this place a must be. Miami Metrozoo

This zoo is an outstanding zoo simply because it houses over 900 wild animals in cageless setting, thereby giving us a feel of a safari tour. No above the ground harvesting is permitted, which means you can only eat the already fallen fruit. But, this should not be a problem. Coral Castle

This enchanting South Florida destination mystifies people because nobody knows how it was created. We only know that the man behind this wonder, Ed Leedskalnin, a Latvian immigrant created this coral castle under the cover of the night. This 5 feet tall man single-handedly excavated, carved and erected over 2 million pounds of coral rock without any modern construction conveniences. Since Ed died with all his secrets within him, nobody knows exactly how this man went about this Herculean task. It’s a place everybody’s got to visit!
